Where can you eat at Kutaisi Airport?
The airport's own directory lists five food and drink outlets, and the thing worth knowing before you arrive is that every one it places precisely sits after passport control. AIR FOOD and Coffeesta are marked airside; Takara is on the second floor of the departure hall. Kutaisi is a compact single-terminal airport with no shopping street attached, so the practical plan is to eat once you are through the controls rather than to linger landside hoping for options.
Is there a restaurant at Kutaisi Airport?
Yes — Takara, on the second floor of the departure hall. It is the airport's first proper à la carte Georgian restaurant, open since 14 February 2024 after running in test mode from the previous December. Dishes are cooked to order rather than held under a lamp: khachapuri, soups, hot mains, coffee and desserts, with a takeaway service for when the gate is already calling. Current listings put a meal at roughly 20–60 GEL a head. Recent reviews spread wider than that — 20–30 GEL for breakfast at one end, 90–100 GEL for a full meal at the other — so treat the lower figure as a plate-and-a-coffee number rather than a dinner one.
What is open after passport control?
AIR FOOD — the newest of the five and three formats in one: a bar, a fast-food counter and a Food Box takeaway. Sandwiches, hot dogs, baked goods, cocktails and premium Georgian alcohol. Listed at 24/7.
Takara — the à la carte Georgian restaurant, second floor of the departure hall. Listed at 24/7.
Coffeesta — a Georgian coffee chain. The airport lists it at 24/7; the chain itself does not, which is worth reading below before you count on it.
Dunkin — coffee, donuts, bakery, breakfast sandwiches, pizza and ice cream. Listed at 24/7, but the airport's current directory does not say which side of the control it stands on.
Is anything really open 24 hours?
The airport lists all five outlets around the clock, and at a terminal with departures at 03:40 and 04:55 that is a plausible claim rather than boilerplate. One entry contradicts itself, though. Coffeesta's own store locator gives its Kutaisi airport branch as 10:00–22:00 daily, not 24 hours. Both sources are current and neither is obviously stale, and there is no way to settle it from outside the terminal. If a night departure depends on getting a coffee, plan around AIR FOOD or Takara and treat Coffeesta as a daytime bonus.
What happened to Mimino, Meama Collect and Baskin-Robbins?
All three were real, and none of the three is in the airport's current directory. Café Mimino was listed by the airport's older site in both the departure and the arrival halls, in Georgian as well as English, on a page dated November 2024. Meama Collect opened in February 2022 as an airport take-away concept store selling coffee, tea and cocktails — it has since disappeared from the airport's list and from Meama's own list of locations. Baskin-Robbins was described landside by a third-party guide as recently as 2025. Search results are full of all three because the aggregators copy each other and rarely re-check, but we cannot confirm any of them is trading today. Nor can we confirm they have closed: what we can say is that the airport stopped listing them, and that the 2026 directory names AIR FOOD, Dunkin, Coffeesta, Takara and Goodway instead.
Is there anything to eat before security?
Nothing the airport currently identifies. Every outlet it places by name is airside, and the landside options older guides describe are precisely the ones that have dropped off the list. If you are meeting an arrival, or you are early for a check-in desk that has not opened yet, plan for that rather than discover it. Kutaisi is a small terminal on the Kopitnari plain, not a city airport with a food court attached.
What we could not confirm
Card payment and foreign currency at each individual outlet. Assume lari and carry some cash — we found no reliable per-outlet confirmation either way.
Vegetarian menus. Georgian cooking offers plenty that happens to be meat-free, but neither Takara nor AIR FOOD publishes a marked vegetarian menu, so we are not promising one.
Vending machines. We looked specifically, in English, Georgian and Russian, and found nothing dependable — so this page does not claim any.
Goodway. It sits in the airport's directory as a departure-hall entry at 24/7, sharing a phone number with Takara, but nothing we found establishes what it actually is; searches surface a Georgian tour company instead. We are not going to describe a place we cannot identify.
